Letting Go Of Strings…
“…if you cannot hear the sound of the genuine in you, you will all of your life spend your days on the ends of strings that somebody else pulls.” Howard Thurman

Welcome to this space of listening for what stirs in the soul in the midst of the search for the genuine. I hope to foster practices of confession, repentance, and lament for my own complicity in some of the world’s ills and as a way of inviting others to also strive for healing. Bolder truth-telling and speaking out are growing areas that call me forward. And learning to trust what is heard within the genuineness of the soul is a continuous path of growth.
I yearn to live imaginatively in order that my life might help to build peace and work for justice. Dreaming new dreams, taking risks, and ending the silence around hard truths are essential practices for that journey.
I welcome your companionship on the journey toward listening for the sound of the genuine within. Come, listen, ponder, and walk with me!

Will she treasure my needs and soothe my thirsty tongue? Will she refresh my parched throat again one more day?” I faithfully tend…
